Junior Accountant (Consultant)

POSITION SUMMARY

Ravix Group, the leading accounting and finance outsource consulting firm in Silicon Valley, is seeking an Junior Accountant with a minimum of 1 year of related experience. This position will analyze financial information to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within a client organization. Specific financial tasks will be determined by the client and may vary from client to client.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide service to multiple clients in an Accountant capacity using independent discretion and judgment, or as directed by Ravix management
  • Keep other Ravix Group team members informed of all client requests and updates
  • Provide accounting services to meet client requirements for (cash, GAAP or other) financials, payroll, A/P, A/R, sales/use tax, balance sheet reconciliations, assist with month end close, etc
  • Assign entries to proper accounts
  • Implement, modify, and document client record keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
  • Assist with client’s tax & audit preparation
  • Tag and inventory client’s real property and equipment, recording information such as the description, value and location of property
  • Provide quality client service and maintain a minimum 100% realization
  • Be aware of client collections status
  • Attend and actively participate in company meetings & training’s
  • Assist with internal Ravix projects as requested

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • College Degree with some college accounting courses, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel and Word. ADP and/or other payroll & accounting systems
  • Must be willing to commute throughout the Bay Area including to San Francisco (Post-Pandemic)

  • Must be able to provide appropriate transportation to travel to multiple client sites.
  • Must possess a laptop and cell phone that can be used daily for work.
